This brass quintet piece is actually a transcription, not an arrangement. It is part of a series of brass works I transcribed straight from the original score for the sake of studying counterpoint. I wanted to be able to experience traditional counterpoint from within the ensemble, without an arranger’s “interpretation” being mixed into the parts.
As an arranger, I do not take any credit for the beauty of this work. I kept the parts exactly where Finck put them.
