Back From South Africa!

Eddie Lewis has returned from his South African - Eastern Cape Tour. Lessons are back on schedule and he has stories and new experiences to share over the next several months.

Please remember that we are offering trumpet or jazz lesson mini camps this summer. There are only a small number of spots open, so schedule your mini camp ASAP.

Jazz Forever
Studio Recording

Jazz Forever

Jazz Forever has finished recording their first CD at Wire Road Studios. This CD features music in the style of the early jazz masters of the 30's and 40's.

Mr. Lewis played a major role in the project having written all of the arrangements and serving as a playing producer of the recording. For those who are interested in hearing Jazz Forever perform or to buy their recordings, please feel free to visit JazzForever.net.

Chris A. at Solo Contest

Congratulations to Chris A. for doing an outstanding job at Solo Contest. Chris performed My Spirit Be Joyful by J.S. Bach and did a great job for only being a Freshman in high school. He received a first division rating for his performance.

Conner S. First Division
at Solo Contest

We wanted to congratulate Conner S. for earning a first division rating on his performance of a very difficult solo. Conner is only a freshman in high school, but he performed Fantasy for Trumpet by Claude T. Smith...a solo commissioned by Getzen for Doc Severinson. He got a one on this solo with some very nice comments from the judge. Not an easy solo, with high E's and some triple tongued arpeggios. He worked hard and the effort paid off.

Eddie Lewis will be performing with Jazz Forever as a special benefit dance event for the Friends of Sylvan Beach Park & Pavilion. The even is in anticipation of and support for the reopening of the Sylvan Beach Pavilion this coming Fall.

David Caceres Band
N.Y.E. in Las Vegas

Mr. Lewis is performing in Las Vegas again on New Year's Eve with the David Caceres band. This will be the bands fifth time performing at the Gold Nugget for New Years Eve.

As always, if you live in Las Vegas and would like to take a lesson with Mr. Lewis while he is in town, please feel free to contact us to setup a lesson time.
