David Caceres Big Band

I was David Caceres’ regular trumpet player in his more commercial small group for about twenty years. This meant that I also did most of his big band gigs as well, during those two decades.

David and I met when we played with the Tom Borling BeBop Band, which was active throughout the 90’s. At the end of our time together in Tom’s jazz group, David invited me to play in his commercial band, whenever the gig required a trumpet player. This the best band I had ever played with in my entire career and served as a very important part of my growth as a trumpet player. I will always be gratefull for the time I spent in David’s band.
